ABOUT US

OUR HISTORY

Insurance Writers of America is the brainchild of Aymee Curbelo, a teacher, an accountant by profession, who placed her career on hold to raise 4 children with her husband Pedro Curbelo. After years of being a full-time mom, a part-time bookkeeper and partner to the consulting firm, the mompreneur wished to launch her career full-time again.

She became interested in the insurance industry while assisting the consulting firm’s clients to find insurance coverage and realized the business opportunity, to quickly seize it by becoming an insurance broker. Paired with the support of her entrepreneur husband, Insurance Writers of America was founded: An agency specializing in unique risks, personal and businesses liability, with a concentration in Excess & Surplus lines.

Insurance Writers of America is a subsidiary of Pro Consulting Int’l Firm
